Campground access is via a “forest road”, but there is no cause for alarm as the road is hard packed, level and wide.

It's definitely time for this campground to give up the KOA branding and move into 'family campground' territory.
We arrived to a large sewage spill on our site, which we reported. The spill was 'handled' in a friendly, but pretty ineffective manner with a bag of white substance (lime maybe?) The campground was apparently having sewer difficulties and a hired company was pulling out as we pulled in... and left the mess. It was gag-worthy.
The mini-golf course promised on the website and campground map was recently pulled up, with only dirt spots remaining to tell its tale. The deck activity area is warped beyond usability - and is a literal safety hazard. There is a rec room... a very run-down rec room where all of the activities feature missing pieces and parts. The disc golf course is overgrown. We did not find evidence of the promised 'K-9' park, although we don't have a dog so it wasn't big deal to us.
The pool is decent though! Small, but clean and heated. The playground wasn't bad either. The camp store is decently stocked.
Sites are on a hill, but are graded so are decently level. Roads within the campground are rutted and need maintenance.
It was pretty quiet at night too. Little road noise during the day.
Overall, this is a $30/night (considering New England pricing) campground - tops. As it lets itself go, they should definitely consider unassociating with KOA so as not to set expectations beyond somewhere to overnight and enjoy a fire (so long as you don't happen upon a sewage spill on your site!)
AT&T data was usable here, as was Verizon.

We stayed at this KOA for 1night as planned. Overall the campground amenities require updating or complete renovation. The deck with shuffle board is very warped. Bathrooms sink area is clean but showers need to be replaced - mold along the shower stall thresholds, uneven tiled shower stall floors. However the campground site area is in a wooded area and we have no major issues with our site (more gravel is needed at this point though to keep down the dirt being tracked into our RV). Overall we would stay here again if there are no less expensive choices but probably for only a one night stay while on the road.

Reservation was easy on the KOA website. Check in was easy as well and they accommodated my early arrival. The sites are mostly level. The camp is nicely wooded. There is a pool and play equipment for kids. The electrical is 15/30 amp. There is a picnic table and fire ring at each site. Antenna service is good with Fox, CBS and PBS as well as some minor channels. AT&T has 3 bars of LTE. The camp WiFi is good but not good enough for streaming. The camp is close to Vaughan Woods and the State Capitol in Augusta.

You can tell this KOA has been around a while. This one is a lot smaller and low key than other ones I have stayed at. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. There is a lot to do if you want to, if not, it's a very relaxed facility. Bathrooms are VERY clean!
