We recently enjoyed our stay at Sam's Town. Although we were in the parking lot, we did not feel a need to go to the campground because we have ample solar power.
For $20.00, we might have appreciated the extra hotel facilities.
Over 55s have a choice of numerous $5.00 buffets from the local casinos. Also, the Resort's Casino, a short drive away has a dump in their back parking lot. It would be easy to spend a month in this quiet, safe Casino resort area.

Events that happened to me NYE weekend at Samstown Tunica

Friday I checked into my room but left for dinner with friends. I had a stressful day at work had to go in on Saturday to work for a while.
Around 11 pm I went to my room as I was tired and had to work the next day. Room was dark with exception of floor lamp in far corner of room. I got ready for bed in bathroom and went to bed with out turning light by bed on. I turned TV on and proceeded to try to sleep. When I sleep, I turn from side to side and back on my back. ( So I was really moving around in the bed)
Around 12:30am or so I woke and had to go to the bathroom.
When I turned on the lamp by my bed to get up, first thing I saw was lipstick on top edge of the top sheet. As I pushed down the two sheets covering me, there was a large area of dried blook and several more smaller areas of dried blood.
I jumped out of bed and threw back the cover and I could tell from what I was laying on there were body fluids on sheet and I just lost it. I was so upset to know that I had been laying in this flipping around.
I immediately called down to front desk. Lady answered and I told her she needed to send up housekeeping as they did not change sheets and that I had been laying in them with all kinds of body fluids on them. She advised there was no housekeeping. I then asked her to have some sone bring me up clean linen and I would change the bed. She advised she was only one at front desk and could not.
So I had to get dressed, pull all the nasty linen off the bed and cart it all to the front desk.
When I arrived at front desk, the lady came to desk and I showed her the blook and she said to let her put gloves on. I told her yes please do that as I did not have any handling it in my room. She looked and moved it around and she found a very large urine stain on bottom sheet. I asked if she had any sanitizer and she said no.
I told her I needed to speak with Hotel Mgr next morning. I went back to room, took hot shower and scrubbed all over as I felt so nasty.
I then made the bed. It was around 1:45am at this time. My friend came in and asked what was going on and he could not believe it. He told me to come to bed and try to rest some as I had to work some the next day. I went to bed but could not sleep for still feeling so nasty. At 3am I got up and took another shower as hot as I could stand it and scrubbed myself all over.
Next day I got an apology but not No one really seemed to care or
Two weeks later someone called me from Samstown and asked me some questions.

Corporate after investigating the issue determined that I made it up. Never go there!!!!

The help was very good. The hotel is getting rundown and needs attention but this entire area is looking a bit depressed. Per some of the locals since the flooding in 2011, the area hasn’t been the same. The hotel is ok but I probably will pick another place. The food at the buffet was dry, tasteless, and it appeared some food had been sitting for awhile. It’s not the help...they are fab, but the hotel is just not being maintained. Boyd gaming...fix it!

A basic little casino/hotel that's reasonably priced, if not a little outdated and smoky.
