“A relic of a different area”

Imagine a bumpy bowling alley tilted on end. You are the human bowling pin! No fear! A pile of sawdust awaits you at the bottom. Grab one of the scraps of fabric at the base (burlap sack is the fastest), climb the ramp and slide away!

Even if it's out of your way, don't pass by this place without taking a few trips down the slide, even if the kids aren't with you.

So you can’t see the slide from the road. It looks like the entrance to a church camp. It has a red and white metal farm coral type fence. Tons of fun, the kids liked it better than Gettysburg. Definitely worth the 40 minutes added to our road trip time.

Someone mentioned in an earlier comment, it is two miles further down the road. It’s set in the country with lots of houses but such little traffic— the slide area was completely devoid of people, a little creepy at first, but the locals around all looked friendly and waved as we drove past. And the slide itself was such fun! We enjoyed ourselves but we did get sawdust everywhere, had to take a good few minutes to dust ourselves off after!

Fun stop to get out of car for a bit. It isn't where roadtrippers says it is. Go about 2 more miles down the road. You will have fun and have saw dust most everywhere. 😁👍😍🤪

Neat little play area that captures the nostalgia of earlier times. Only takes a few minutes and the trip to/from the park takes you through some wonderful farm land.

If you plot the destination using Roadtrippers app thru Waze, the destination is a little off. Keep driving further down the road. You can also just type in The Big Slide-Municipal Park into Waze for a more exact location.

We had the entire place to ourselves. The slide is large enough for a family of 4 to go down together (hilarity is inevitable 😂). I like that you can make this a quick or a long stop - whatever you have time for. No 4 hour commitment required (like many of the other sights/activities).

Such fun, even for adults! Burlaps provided at the bottom of this (FREE) HUGE slide. There is a children's playground, multiple picnic pavilions with shade, a stage and grills. A wonderful stop for any traveler.
