“An expansive covered bridge”
Loy’s Station Covered Bridge Park. Constructed in 1848, the bridge has been rebuilt but its original timbers are in tact over the ninety-foot span across Owens Creek. There are picnic tables in the adjacent park.
Neat bridge that captures the nostalgia of earlier times. Only takes a few minutes and the trip to/from bridge takes you through some wonderful farm land. There is also a great park next to it with a playground and tables. If you need a place to stop along your trip, I recommend it because it also has latrines.
If you plot the destination using Roadtrippers app thru Waze, the destination is a little off. Keep driving and you’ll see the signs. You can also just type in Loy’s Station Covered Bridge into Waze for a more exact location.
