“Donuts as big as your head”

When Jan and Dale Cohrs bought the Lone Star Bakery in 1978, the two gained more than a bakery. Along with the original recipes, oven and bakery scales, they inherited 55 years of history. The Cohrs, unaware of the bakery's colorful past, quickly learned to appreciate the Lone Star's illustrious, far reaching reputation. Three years later Jan and Dale, sixth owners of the bakery, take pride in keeping the heritage of their serendipitous discovery alive.
If you visit, consider parking across the street and walking up to avoid a giant line into the parking lot. We opted for the "Texas-sized" chocolate glazed and it took three of us multiple days to fully devour it! Everything is, indeed, bigger in Texas.
Absolutely delicious, one of the best donuts I have ever eaten! This is a local favorite and considered by many to be one of Americas best donut shops, and I can see why!
Nothing better than a hot out of the oven Round Rock glazed donut, except MORE! They melt in your mouth. So delicious. Definitely a must have.
Drove through and placed three orders. Very friendly, and the donuts were delicious. Try the Texas-sized donut!
