Seasonal in nature, yet, open year round. Swabbies is a true Sacramento “best of” for daytime live music, birthday parties, graduation parties, fund raisers, company parties, retirement parties, outdoor dining, unique outdoor weddings, receptions, and entertaining out of town guests. Our restaurant may be in Sacramento, but our hearts and minds – not to mention our stomachs – are in Cabo San Lucas and Honolulu. We bring beach-front ambiance to our riverside restaurant. With authentic marina food, drink and plenty of tropical attitude. Swabbies most famous taco is our Corona beer battered fish taco. Meat lovers also enjoy our legendary chicken and beef tacos. Fresh fish tacos are a favorite during the summer season. Stuffed with a fresh fish catch of the day, fish is flown in several times a week (seasonal). Our famous fish, shrimp and prawn tacos are so addictive they ought to come with a warning label. What makes our tacos special is the cooking process. Out tacos can’t be compared to the south of the border style or Tex-Mex. They would be best described as Mexican-Italian fusion, a combination even the toughest critics appreciate and they can only be found one place in the world. The rest of our menu contains all the delicious American home-style fare one would expect from our owner and executive chef, 20 year restaurant veteran, Chef Michelle ‘Mikk’ Barabino. Swabbies is the perfect destination and a “thing to do in Sacramento” for a day-trips along Garden Highway and Sacramento River.
