Evangeline's

Since 1974 Evangeline's has supplied toys and gifts for people who love to laugh. They  sell gag gifts, toys and magic, and oddly desirable things you don't need but can't resist buying. This would include tiaras, petticoats, wigs, funny books, cool hats, sombreros, office gifts, shotgun shell string lights, moustaches, voodoo dolls, retro aprons, goggles, Fruit Stripe gum, etc. Upstairs from the original E is Evangeline's Costume Mansion. Evangeline's opens on K Street in a beautiful, historic building, the Howard House in Old Sacramento. All of the buildings in Old Sacramento are in the process of restoration to their original Gold Rush era splendor. The owner, Dorothea Evangeline Chaussé, is delighted with the location because it is a perfect fit with the original concept of the store selling antiques.
