“Hosted in the 1904 olympics”
Forest Park is a public park located in western part of the city of St. Louis, Missouri. It is a prominent civic center and covers 1,293-acre (5,230,000 m2). The park, which opened in 1876 more than a decade after its proposal, has hosted several significant events, including the Louisiana Purchase Exposition of 1904 and the 1904 Summer Olympics.
Huge city park with a lot going on. Dogs are welcome (as long as they're on a leash) and there's a ton of different walking paths. Museums, tennis courts, a zoo, theater, etc. They have it all! Really pretty place and kept up well. It was pretty busy when we went, but you have to expect that on a nice saturday. Right off the highway, which is also nice.
Absolutely beautiful park with fountains and walkways and museums. Lots of space to walk and stretch your legs.
