Super 8 by Wyndham Salem

Although this motel looks newly renovated, I would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone passing through. We were given a smoking room (which I didn't even think was an option in Illinois). The good news was it didn't smell like smoke, the bad news was it smelled like someone had urinated all over everything right before we walked in. It was very late and we were very tired (and we were told it was the last room available) so we decided to just power through and fall asleep. The smell kept waking me up. It was awful. I can't say if all the rooms have this terrible smell, but the hallways didn't smell much better. I don't expect a lot when staying at a lower-priced motel but for $80 a night maybe they could put an air freshener in the room.
