Just go. It's a little hokey, but worth seeing! When you enter the diorama room it's dark and the guide said something about sitting on the right-hand side to start so you could see better. IGNORE THAT. Sit in the middle on the plastic yellow benches, the closer to the center of the room the better. What happens is the story is told with various different scenes displayed on the walls starting at 11 o'clock and moving around counter-clockwise. So, if you're sitting in the middle all you have to do is rotate in your seat, while everyone else in the chairs is straining for half of it or getting up to move to a place they can see better.

Kitchy and odd. I found myself giggling at points that were meant to be serious because it was so dramatic. Good times...

Went with my boyfriend during a spontaneous trip to New England; nice museum that I would recommend but I would not revisit it. The first half of the tour is in a dark room with several stages shown above and as others have said, it is very dramatic. Personally, I found the narrating voice comforting and vaguely reminded me of Twilight Zone's Rod Sterling. The next half of your visit is a tour through a small exhibit. Think of other museums you've been to and how overwhelmed you felt with everything around you - you won't have that here. Although it is not big, the overall experience was a lot of fun and I greatly enjoyed it!

The museum's tour is factual if a bit overly dramatic at times. I found the section about the history since the trails and wicca to be lacking. They definitely need to update that part. Still, it is worth the time and money. (FYI you can find most everything in their gift shop at other shops in town for less)

It's worth going to get a picture of what happened in the trials. Kathleen Anderson is right that the yellow benches in the middle are the way to go.

Yep, a bit hokey in the theatre part n of the tour, but the indoor walking tour provided some great information. Worth the admission price.
