“old world attention to detail”

St. Innocent Winery was founded in 1988 by Mark Vlossak who continues to be our winemaker and President. We produce small lots of handmade, vineyard-designated wine from some of the best sites in the Willamette Valley. Since our founding, we have grown from 600 cases that first year to our current production of 8-10,000 cases, yet each wine is still handcrafted in the very same manner. Year after year, St. Innocent Winery has received recognition from throughout the country and around the world for its outstanding Pinot noir, beautifully crafted white wines, and fair pricing. By marrying tradition with innovation, combining old world attention to detail with cutting edge inspiration, Mark creates wines that reflect their terroir, the specific qualities of the vintage, and his vision of wine's place in life: to complement and extend the pleasure of food.

St. Innocent Winery was founded in May 1988 by Mark Vlossak, the current winemaker and president. The winery is located in Salem, Oregon, at the southeast corner of the Eola Hills, in the Mid-Willamette Valley. St. Innocent produces small lot, handmade wines from nine of Oregon's best vineyards. The philosophy behind the winemaking at St. Innocent is that the function of wine is to complement and extend the pleasure of a meal. The characteristics of a wine should enhance different food and flavor combinations. To this end, St. Innocent wines tend toward higher acid levels, and more diverse and balanced flavors. In the spring of 2006, St. Innocent purchased an interest in Zenith Vineyard (formerly O'Connor Vineyard) located in the Eola-Amity Hills. This 133 acre site has 81 acres planted. By 2012, 20-acres of Pinot noir produced 2700 cases of St. Innocent estate Pinot noir. Our first harvest in the building was in the Fall of 2007. This 17,500 sq. ft., 4-level, gravity facility features underground barrel rooms, a temperature controlled crush floor, and a 900 sq. ft. tasting room. The new construction also includes an 11,000 sq. ft. event center.
