“Unique and educational Aquarium”

The Kansas Fishes aquarium is a unique and educational attraction representative of a living and dynamic Kansas fish community. The largest free-standing tank display in the state, the aquarium features a wide variety of mid-western fishes in a naturalistic setting. The simulated mud bank backdrop and trees from area rivers recreate a typical Kansas water habitat. The aquarium is home for 50 to 100 native fishes, including channel catfish, bluegill, crappie, wipers (white bass and striped bass hybrids), largemouth and white bass, and walleye. Schools of seasonally available fish will be added to keep the exhibit new and exciting.

This is a single fish tank by a food court, in the middle of the mall. I would not call it an aquarium. Disappointed.

This is not worth the drive to find or the stop. The mall is tiny and mostly empty. The food court didn't really have a lot of options, and the fish tank was sad. (This is NOT an aquarium unless that is what you call the tank in your house. It is considerably smaller than what you see at Bass Pro Shop)

In the last several months there have been few if any fish. The one fish tank of this "aquarium" is a fresh water tank of native Kansas fish and tends to be cloudy due to it being a freshwater tank. If you need to stop at the mall go ahead, but don't make a special stop for this!

This was a neat spot to stop on our road trip a few years ago. It’s not a large aquarium by any means, but it was in a nice mall that was good for getting a meal and doing some shopping. Our preschool aged boys loved taking a break and hearing us read the facts about the various fish posted along the wall of the food court.
