I don't like saying "it's a must" but I think this one is. I went there with my wife yesterday. short hike (but up hill). the most beautiful view of the city. breath taking. make sure you get to "Ensign Peak", because google-maps brings you very close, but to the other side of the hill. If you see the sign "Ensign Peak" then you are in the right place.

It's a steep hike and tbh just as great of a view about half way up.

Short, easy hike (pretty quick elevation change though) - well worth it! The view from the top was great! Nice quiet place for lunch with amazing views.

Very cool hike and amazing view all around you and downtown Salt Lake City. Hiked the hard path in the front with my wife and two toddlers. Took the paved path going down around the back because of the kids. Definitely something to do if you enjoy a quick day hike.

Great view of SLC from the peak. Be careful not to take what looks like a path going up the south side of the mountain. It is gated off for a reason. We happened to attempt it and realized half-way up that it gets incredibly steep and is not a safe way to reach the top. I was very disappointed at how much the place is littered and spray-painted. Very sad to see how little some people care about shared parks.

The trail was very muddy which made it almost impossible to climb but we made it. Lots of huffing and puffing but worth the beautiful view. Bring extra clothes and shoes.

It's been a few years since I've been there. It's a short, easy hike assuming you're in decent shape. The view is definitely worth it.

Nice view. Worth the stop. However the trail is not well maintained. Loose earth and a steep incline mean slipping and huffing and puffing. Thankfully it's a short trail.

I really enjoyed this spot. the hike is harder than I thought it would be. it's pretty steep. but doable for most anyone I would say. (it is an unpaved trail) I went up to get some night shots of the city. it was beautiful. you could see the whole city and surrounding area. highly recommend it for sunsets. oh and do be careful while on the trail, I nearly stepped on a rattle snake on my way down. Bring a flash light if you plan to stay after dark. I forgot mine and it's not super easy to go down in the dark.
