“World Famous hot fudge sundae”
Ghirardelli Square, considered the first successful adaptive reuse project in the country, has a history that spans more than a century and covers three continents. This specialty retail and dining complex, housing shops and restaurants, was originally a chocolate factory established by Domenico “Domingo” Ghirardelli.
Here two of San Francisco’s most recognized icons, Ghirardelli Square and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, have partnered to create one the most celebrated and distinctive destinations in the City, Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square. As part of Fairmont’s exclusive collection of private residence clubs, the property offers for-sale fractional residence as a second home, as well as luxury hotel accommodations, all within one of the City’s most famous, national historic landmarks.
It was okay. The chocolate is good, but it's nothing special and quite touristy.
Chocolate! I had deeply entrenched memories of going here and getting a giant chocolate sundae that I couldn't finish when I was ten. When I went back last summer with friends I realized that Ghirardelli Square was just a glorified chocolate store. Then again my girlfriend is begging me to take her here after dinner next time we go up to San Francisco!
Fairmont Heritage Place at Ghirardelli Square was one exceptional experience for us to stay at.
Wonderful facilities for all ages and tastes. The views are fantastic since its located at the waterfront of San Francisco.
The rooms are big and comfortable and the decoration is superb. We truly enjoyed the bathtub of the bathroom as well.
The breakfast also was really nice and tasty, and the whole staff of the hotel was very pleasant.
This was one luxurious night!
