“Tapas and wine bar.”
Tapas bars in Spain traditionally provided great communal opportunities for locals and tourists alike. Tapas has deviated little since its inception. Although bars were already popular spots for drinking sherry and other wines, owners seized the opportunity to further tempt patrons by putting slices of ham, cheese or olives on the bread. Thus Tapas, meaning "cover" or "lid," was born.
