John's Grill is a historical restaurant in San Francisco, California at 63 Ellis Street. The restaurant is famous, in part, thanks to the novel The Maltese Falcon.
Being at John's feels like you were here when it was still a young establishment. I can't imagine the interior has changed much since it opened, and I love it! As "Home of the Maltese Falcon", you can definitely get a good feel of stepping back in time several decades ago and separating yourself from modern-day San Francisco. Their food is amazing and the steak makes you want to lick the plate, but try not to. This is one of my and my husband's favorite place to celebrate anniversaries.
