This is the pizza by which all others are judged. Una Pizza is a place of worship for the pizza's of one man, Anthony Mangieri. Like a monk, Anthony makes all the dough and makes every single pizza himself. If you like pizza, food or just "craft", you owe it to yourself to try una pizza.
Coming from Chicago I like to think I know a thing or two about pizza, but Una Pizza Napoletana blew me out of the water.
If pizza is a religion, then Anthony Mangieri is the high priest of the Neapolitan style. Mangieri's pies ($25) are studies in austere pizza perfection—toppings are limited to some combination of tomato, cheese, olive oil, garlic and basil, with a meat pie available on Saturdays only. Devotees show up early—the oven shuts down when the dough runs out.
