It's fair to compare San Francisco's Golden Gate Park to Central Park, but few realize that it's actually larger. A beautiful, popular park. If you're visiting and have a couple hours, bike through the park!
Lots to see and do here! Waterfalls, bison, museums, paths and trails, memorials, gardens, ponds.... however there are busy highly trafficked streets running through which can ruin the effect at times
Lots of hiking and scenery to explore if that's the kind of thing you're into. The scale and beauty of Golden Gate is perhaps only rivaled by New Yorks Central Park. Not only are there natural attractions to see, Golden Gate also has an antique carousel for the family. Highly recommend.
