“plants from Mediterranean climates around the world”
San Francisco’s unique Botanical Garden inspires visitors with an extraordinary diversity of plants from Mediterranean climates around the world. Included in the Garden’s collection are over 7500 varieties of rare and unusual plants that can be successfully grown in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through its programs and displays, the Botanical Garden celebrates the bond between people and plants, instilling a deeper understanding of the need to conserve earth’s biological heritage.
This place reminds me of Central Park, but on steroids. It is quite big and has areas where you can completely isolate yourself from the rest of the busy city. Central Park rarely can boast about that.
There are lots of amazing flowers, unique plants and scents. Every area is carefully manicured and is well-maintained. My favorite part was the front entrance: open field with groups of people just enjoying outdoors on the grass - peaceful and somehow trendy simultaneously.
