“An original neighborhood restaurant”
In 1994 Ken & Tricia Fontana founded Cold River Coffee Company to produce our proprietary blends of small batch roasted coffee. CRCC grew to serve over 90 wholesale customers spread out from Toronto to Manhatten. In 1998 the Blue Moon Cafe was a new coffee shop in Saranac Lake which purchased these coffees. Having closed unexpectadly the landlord and Ken came to an agreement to keep the cafe open. In 1999 they purchased the building which housed the cafe and began scaling back their Wholesale business so they could focus on the cafe. Today the cafe has become an integral part of the village of Saranac Lakes’ Downtown area where visitors and local residents share this casual and friendly spot for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
