“once believed to possess healing properties”

The historic hot pool, located on the banks of the Platte River, is a natural hot springs once believed to possess healing properties.  Indian tribes would lay down their weapons to partake of the waters healing powers in peace.  Today, it brings that same relaxing ambiance.  The pool is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week year round.  The Hobo Pool temperature ranges from 108 to 119 degrees.  The Not So Hot Pool maintains a temperature around 100 degrees. There is no charge for use of the Hobo Pool.  However, there is a donation box available for patrons that would like to contribute to the maintenance of the facility.  There are showers and a dressing rooms available in our new facilities.

We loved Hobo pool! It is free and well kept. We loved the little stream/river next to the hot springs and playing in the rocks. There is also a little trail that leads across a pretty bridge to a nice little park. Great place for a break from the road.

The shower was nice to have afterwards.

The address was a little off for our GPS. If you go down Walnut street, you will find it better. We are glad we stopped by and definitely recommend it.

Free hot spring just out of the way. Its not very big, don’t expect a water park. It’s so peaceful and great for a stop through Wyoming.

I’m really glad we stopped here. There are two pools to enjoy and you can also wade in the river if you’d like. The water is really hot near the fall in the big pool. Everyone was pretty quiet and respectful of one another so it was relaxing. There is a dirt lot nearby so as long as it’s not packed, there is enough room for RV parking and turning around. No overnight parking.

Definitely worth the small detour. We arrived midday on a Sunday and there were many people there but it didn’t feel overly crowded. Most people were quiet and friendly. There are 2 man made pools lined with slippery algae and a sandy bottom. The temp is very hot in both pools. The water pumps out into the river so there’s an option to hangout there as well or venture a little further away or cool off in colder water. Overall, the area is clean and well maintained. There is also a larger lot for RVs to park in.

BAD. AVOID.

Didn’t realize it came with ACTUAL hobos. Seriously. Brought my husband and 2 girls to find ONLY rough gross looking men in the pool AND in the LADIES changing room. Wtf? Smelled like piss everywhere and was clearly a homeless gay man hookup spot. Run. Just run. Not a family place.

Super fun stop for our family! One of our favorite activities when available is “building” hot tubs along a river. So you can sit in the structure of the hot tub, or build your own... we brought pizza, chocolate cake and river shoes... also next to a great little river to launch a little kayak on if you have someone to pick you up down stream.

Lives up to its name! You can take a dip in two hot spring pools, and a nearby river, all for the great price of $0. No frills, and easy to navigate to at the edge of the town of Saratoga.

Super nice...hot spring pool is super hot, cool spring pool is like a hot tub...showers/bathrooms are clean and nice. Although there are no doors or curtains...it doesn't really smell at all. Well worth the stop!
