Slide Rock State Park

Been here enough times to know that it's pretty freaking rad. If you go follow the river down a ways from the main point, there's a cool spot people use to cliff dive. The water is super deep and the ledge is pretty high up(it's right under a man-made bridge) so be careful. The water is always cold so be prepared for that as well.

This place is awesome! It will cost you 20$ to park and its a quick drive out of Sedona. I parked on the side of the highway and walked into the park to save some money. I went on a Thursday and there were lots of people there but exploring the area was a lot of fun. I'd recommend wearing jean shorts over your bathing suits. Locals told me horror stories of bathing suits ripping off and people left being a naked butt. Over all awesome area... was apple homestead about 100 years ago!

We stopped here as part of our Amazing Race family trip out West. It has been over 2 weeks now since our visit and my kids our still talking about it as one of their favorite clues (we had over 60!!). Get there early as spots fill up, take water, sunscreen and a towel. We also took our lunch in as its a small walk back and forth to parking lot. Wear shoes with a grip-we saw sooo many people fall as it gets really slippery. We were shocked at how cold the water was but it felt soo good on a hot day. Our 2 youngest rode down the large rock slide on our backs but our 13 year old rode down by himself. I would advise women to wear shorts over their swimsuit as my daughter and I both had rock burns on our rears after riding down several times...totally worth it though! We also completed the Jr. Ranger badge here and not only do the kiddos get badges but they also get a very neat poster. Great family stop!!!

Great spot to enjoy nature's beauty and have fun on the slides. Advice....WATER SHOES! I made my kids wear them, no major injuries. I however did not and let's just say its been 4 days and I still can't sit down comfortably. Made for a sad 5 hour drive on our next leg if the trip. But well worth the $20 per car fee.

pretty cool place, very pretty but very busy with people. If you continue up the river for about half a mile its much quieter and there are some cool swimming holes and rock jumps

Very fun place! It gets fairly crowded around 11 am so its better to get there early. Lovely hiking trails along the creek and several places along the creek to swim besides the main area. Cliff diving as well, about as high as 30ft or shorter jumps too. Parking costs.

Call ahead to make sure it's open when you plan on visiting & try to plan a visit around a festival at the park to have even more fun.

Closes after July, that was a major bummer but it was still pretty.

This is a must stop!! Water was so refreshing. And the scenery is breathtaking. Sliding down the rock was so fun.

Really beautiful and the slides are fun, but be warned, the water is very very cold!
