Joseph Smith's revelations began the Church of Latter Day Saints here, and the first Women's Rights Convention was held in Seneca Falls in 1848. The Museum's south entrance is on the award-winning Canal harbor. Many of our visitors, arriving by boat, explore hands-on and interactive displays, intriguing exhibits and artifacts, the play-learning children's center. The Museum's primary purpose is to delight and inform, to lift the imagination as it strikes sparks of discovery.
