Crescent Meadow is the wildlife paradise!!! Park your car (no parking fee) and take the trails to the forest. Wonderful wildflowers and sequoias are everywhere.

Sometimes I wonder how we human can destroy something so magical God created! The smells of the flowers and the grass can almost make you feel you are somewhere you don't belong. On another place than earth..

The backgrounds are wonderful and the people that visit this place respect each millimeter of it.

Photographers were standing everywhere capturing the scenery and the bears with their small ones while having some "family times".! Enjoy!

John Muir called this "the Gem of the Sierra" and if there's any dead dude's opinion to trust on National Parks stuff, it's his. You can make the hike as long or as short as you need, but I suggest going to see Tharp's Log at least-- imagine living right in the middle of this paradise!

This popular trail takes you past the Chimney Tree and Tharp's Log and is pretty moderate. The meadow itself is insanely beautiful. Flowers abound and there are giant trees all around it. You'll probably see some wildlife while you're there. This meadow can get crowded, but usually it's pretty calm.

It's pretty much a photographer's dream. The Crescent Meadow Loop will connect with a few other trails. You can either park or take the shuttle from Ldogepole and Dorst campground.

If you visit in January after a snowfall, it can be fun to snowshoe across the meadow.

This place is beautiful and quiet. It’s also a pretty easy hike. My wife and I saw a bear family as we were walking through the area but they minded their own business as did we. We did see a few people walking through the meadow even though there’s signs saying not to because small animals live in it and you can ruin their homes and hurt them by walking through.
