“an old-timey country store with snacks & artifacts”
Country store with snacks, artifacts and pictures of the C&O Canal and Sharpsburg history. Direct access to C&O Canal. Ice cream cones 75 cents? That's what the sign at Snyder's landing says and the arrow is pointing this way, to Barron's C&O Canal Hiker Biker Store. This is a must-visit! Besides having lots of cool liquid refreshments, there's a C&O Canal museum with many historic pictures of sights along the canal. These were donated by the people from Sharpsburg that run the canal. The canal headquarters is still at the foot of the James Rumsey bridge. Open year round!
