“located at the 800 foot elevation”
Barron-Wahl Vineyards are located at the 800 foot elevation on Parrett Mountain with valley views of the Willamette Valley and easterly toward beautiful Mt. Hood. The vineyard, located on Ladd Hill Road in Sherwood, was planted in 2001, with 100% Pinot Noir. Pommard varietals make up most of the plants but some 777 are also included. In 2006, Barron-Wahl produced their first vintage, and was awarded a Bronze Medal at the Oregon State Fair Wine Competition. Barron-Wahl Vineyards was fortunate to obtain its first Pinot Noir starts from a friend and former teacher to Bill Wahl, Mr. Hal Medici. Mr. Medici is very well known for his pioneering wine-grape production and producing excellent wines. Barron-Wahl wines are processed by a notable vintner, Joe Dobbes of Dundee, Oregon. Using 100% French Oak, the latest technology and a very professional staff; Joe is able to consistently produce top quality wines.
