Fertitta's Delicatessen, Shreveport's oldest continuously family-owned restaurant, was founded in 1927 by John Fulco as the Crystal Grocery and Rosebud Cafe. The establishment has operated in the same two story brick building since its founding. The original address was 1124 Howell Street, northeast corner with Christian Street, however, both street names have been changed and today the address is 1124 Fairfield Avenue, northeast corner with Sam R. Fertitta Drive.
