Koosah Falls Days Use Area is located approximately 17 miles northeast of McKenzie Bridge at an elevation of 3,000 feet. This day use area has toilets but no potable water. Koosah is derived from the Chinook Indian word for “sky”. At Koosah Falls, the McKenzie River falls 70 feet over basalt formations. Many small springs flow from crevices at the base of the falls.
