“the most spectacular and spooky feature of the entire park”
Located inside of Hocking Hills, Ash Cave is known as one of the most haunted caves in Ohio. This spooky cave is frequented by many hikers and is among the most popular spots in Hocking Hills. According to hikers shadowy figures have been seen along the cave walls. Some describe a ghostly white woman in 1920's clothing peeking from behind trees. Add this creepy destination to your next road trip and you might just find yourself running home scared.
Beautiful! Well worth the visit. Give yourself some time to explore. I took the trail from Cedar Falls which is 6 miles round trip... But you can drive to the cave and walk in too.
The trail to ash cave is wheelchair and stroller accessible. You can walk all the way up to the sand.
Definitely worth seeing. This is cool.
Ash Cave is an amazing site to see. Very accessible and easily walkable. This is also the most populated stop in the Hocking Hills area. We went on a Saturday and it was very busy. There was even a wedding going on. Very cool, but if crowds in nature aren't your thing try going on a weekday.
This cave needs to be seen to be believed! The trail was super well maintained and even handicap accessible back to the cave! We visited in February and had no problem getting back the trail to see the view!
