“Enjoy easy access to San Francisco”
Treasure Island, located in South San Francisco approximately 10 miles south of downtown San Francisco, is primarily a 350+ residential RV and mobilehome community that offers a couple dozen of it’s available spaces for short term and vacation renters. With a mixture of pull through RV spaces and smaller RV spaces our park offers easy access to all of San Francisco and it’s attractions by BART train, bus service at our front gate or with just a short drive.
$65 a night for electric and water/sewer only, no wifi or TV. I picked it because it was close to the bart. I've been to more RV parks I can count. The office manager is hands down the rudest and least customer service oriented individual I have ever come across. I made a reservation for 3 nights, followed the instructions per the email, and on arrival at 5:30pm waited 30 minutes for a park staffer to come check me in. (Into an empty row, for overnighters). He claimed no one informed him about my reservation. I mentioned I might want to stay longer than 3 nights, and he suggested I pay for the one night. And talk to the office the next day.
The office opens at 9am. I had early meetings, and a schedule that went haywire, so my plan was to call the office in the afternoon and settle the bill. Before I could do that I received a hostel voice message. I returned his call and proceeded to apologize, as he interrupted me with "Your problems are not my problem." He says they will not take my credit card over the phone, and if I don't pay by 4pm in person, my RV would be ordered to be towed. I explained I had to leave my meetings early and take public trans to get there, and the fastest would be 5pm. (Closing time) He refused to budge, despite my efforts to be polite and find a solution. I've never had someone flip a switch on me so fast. Threatening me with towing my vehicle, with my dog inside for not obeying his demands to come into the office immediately.
I arrived at 4:45 and got the hell out of there. (the office was closed.)
