“along the banks of the Missouri River”
Sundermeier has been serving camping guests in the St. Charles area for over 60 years, covering two generations. We are a privately owned and operated luxury RV Park located in St. Charles, MO just minutes from the oldest and largest designated historic district in the State of Missouri. Come and enjoy all of the amenities our modern year-around facility has to offer. In 1925 the property was the family farm. When World War II ended there was a shortage of housing and the City of St. Charles began to expand. The farm was then included within the city limits and ceased to exist as a farm. It was then converted by the family into a mobile home park for local citizens. In 1990 the second generation converted the mobile home park into an RV Park for the traveling public. Then in 2000 a major redevelopment took place and they completely revamped the park into a state-of-the-art RV Park to accommodate the larger and more sophisticated RV's. Throughout the years we have grown and constantly improved our facility. However, our main focus is to provide our guests with top quality facilities, amenities, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff, so their stay is a positive and memorable experience.

Park is clean and owners friendly. Sites paved and flat. Plenty of room for big rigs which was the majority of the coaches in park. . No trees and it is near railroad and highway but noise wasn't an issue. Access easy from freeway but first turn in town a bit tight but manageable. Would stay again when visiting St. Louis area.

Stayed again this year while visiting family. This time did a back in that provided more grass area around coach. Also, hosts told us of park and hiking trail behind park which we enjoyed greatly. Just need to exit gate at rear of park and cross over quiet road and small hill. Nice park and Katy trail on several levels. This trail apparently goes 300 miles. Great for walking, running and bike riding. Several smaller trails through the woods and down to the Missouri River. Cell and WiFi signal strong. Shopping nearby and some awesome restaurants. Again, easy access for big rigs. Flat cement pads. Not typical camping atmosphere but works for visiting area and loved the trails.

With good sam discount was 36/night . Nice clean park. Level large concrete spaces. If I had to say something bad would be the train's and planes flying over.

We stayed here while visiting St. Louis. However, we loved St. Charles just as much! About a 25 min drive to St. Louis.
Park has zero shade. Decent WiFi. Good cell service. Crazy water pressure. Near the airport. Nice people.

Pros:
- Directly next to a woodland walking/biking path with access to the river
- Directly next to a large, well maintained park for picnics and kids playground
- Great Wifi and good proximity to historic St. Charles and drivable to St. Louis
- Lots of bunnies, squirrels, birds and other wildlife in and around the park
- Safe residential area without road noise... very peaceful
Cons:
- Standard RV pull through parking lot with a good amount of long timers and a few travellers
- No off leash dog park on property... closest one is about a 3 block walk away

Felt weird to drive down a residential street to find the park. Arrived at the same time rally members were arriving so units were backed up. The people in the office were pleasant and provided everything I needed.
The park is very basic and pretty much a parking lot with grass between the sites. We had a back in site, #78, which was wide, however the extra space is taken up because our truck had to be parked next to the 5th wheel. All utilities worked well however there was a urine smell on the grass behind our site. It was strong enough that the neighbor on our front side questioned the smell too. The bathrooms were well lit and clean. There was a laundry room, as well. There is no area to walk pets and it is expected that pets would be walked behind the park along the trail. When it rains, that is a little too far. There is a train tressel and some traffic noise from the freeway, but it didn't bother me. It was an acceptable place to stay for 1-2 days.
