Straits Scuba Center

The Straits of Mackinac is one of the best locations in the world to explore lost ships. Dive sites range from wooden schooners & barges to a 588 foot steel freighter, the Cedarville. All skill levels of diving are available. Straits Scuba Center is the only dive center dedicated exclusively to diving in the Straits of Mackinac. The Rec Diver is a modern, 42 foot trawler style boat with a full displacement hull designed expressly for Great Lakes use. It is diesel powered, steel hulled and has been specially modified for sport diving. This configuration yields a stable ride in rough water and a roomier diving platform than conventional pleasure boats converted to diving use.
