“nestled under the ancient St. Simons Island live oak trees”
Nestled under the ancient St. Simons Island live oak trees and between the parks and the historic oceanfront Village, you will find our unique Inn. While building the Village Inn & Pub, the owners restored the 1930 beach cottage and designed the Inn around it to integrate the architecture of the neighborhood and the facade of the cottage. The Inn was built around the existing giant live oaks that inhabit the Island and not one limb was removed or destroyed! Developer and owner, George Stewart and wife Michelle, were the recipients of a first time ever “Good Developer Award” given by the Island’s Environmentalist Group (RUPA). You will even be parking on ‘grass & shell pave’ instead of pavement. This was done as to not disturb the root systems of the trees and to promote environmentally safe water run off.
