“Gateway to the Gorge”
This 900 foot tunnel was dynamited out of solid rock between 1910 and 1911. It was used to transport timber from logging operations in Red River Gorge. Today, this one lane tunnel is the most dramatic entry point for Red River Gorge Park.

Driving through this tunnel is definitely dramatic. It is a beautiful man-made addition to the Gorge, and it is loads of fun to drive through.
