“the best pizza in New York”
A local neighborhood watering hole that one might accidentally drive by without noticing as there is no sign out front. Unpretentious and bordering on a dive, this joint serves up what locals consider the best bar pie in New York City. The menu includes other typical Italian fare, including baked ziti and calamari. Lee's has existed at its Hancock Street location for more than 100 years, and has been under its present ownership since 1969. Winner of WCBS-FM’s 2012 Best Pizza in the Tri-State Area contest Lee’s Tavern does not disappoint.
