Surprise Stadium is the Spring Training home for the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals, and has been rated as the “best place to watch a Spring Training game.” (Best of Phoenix) Surprise Stadium was officially opened in December 2002 and since then has hosted not only Spring Training games, but plenty of little league, high school and college sports tournaments, too. This award-winning facility is used for more than sports. Surprise families have stretched out on the fields to enjoy kid- friendly Movie Nights with their neighbors for years and thousands gather every Fourth of July for a dynamic fireworks show and entertainment festival.
