Brewpub and Restaurant on Center Street in Taft California. Black Gold Brewing Company was opened by Michael and Jaruwan Long in October 2010. Located in Taft, California Black Gold will soon offer craft beers (made from our pilot system) and produce craft beers from our 3bbl brewing system in March-April 2013. We currently offer over 75 different craft beers, the widest selection of beers in the southern valley. We are located 30 miles west of Bakersfield at the junction of highways 119 and 33, the Petroleum Highway. Taft lies in the heart of California's oil country, the largest oil producing area in the lower 48 states. Take highway 33 (north or south) to avoid traffic and monotony of Interstate 5, enjoy some good food and a great craft beer.

Appropriately named beers. Smoked tri tip brings Santa Maria to Taft. Friendly service and fun atmosphere. This is a must stop for a downtown that has a niche scene. Read more
