Tallahassee Museum

Welcome to the Tallahassee Museum! Where North Florida's history, nature, and wildlife intersect. From amazing native animals and rare historic buildings to beautiful natural scenery to exciting public programs, special events, and educational programs, there's something here for everyone. Generally, a visit of 2 - 2.5 hours is recommended in order to visit the historic buildings, see the animals, enjoy the interactive exhibits, and take in the beautiful surroundings. Visitors can easily spend the day going through the exhibits and grounds in-depth as well. Visitors are encouraged to go through the museum at their own pace and refer to the Visitors Guide to choose the exhibits and areas of the museum that are of greatest interest to them. During the months that schools are in session, the museum is generally busier in the morning hours when school groups are visiting. Afternoons are generally an excellent time to visit the museum if you are looking to avoid crowds.
