The area's most populated if not it's most popular beach features over 1500 feet of sand along West Grand Traverse Bay in downtown Traverse City. Clinch Park has picnic tables, lifeguards (mid-June -- August), restrooms and a water park to go with the beautiful marina. Clinch Park is at Cass Street and the Grandview Parkway on the West Bay.

During the summer there are hammocks in almost every tree and the volleyball courts provide entertainment. But during the fall it is absolutely breathtaking. The colors explode and contrast with the light gold sand.
