“See and sample the local arts”
Visitors to our co-op gallery are surprised at how much there is to see within. We have the work of 70 artisans in four rooms of our building. We have a warm fire place for winter and front porch benches for summer. We have a wide variety of talent: painters, potters, jewelers, quilters, photographers, weavers, retablo artists, leather craftsmen, metals, wood workers and a variety of artisan crafts. The High Road MarketPlace, Inc. occupies an old store building along highway 76 in Truchas. We’re next to the Martinez family cemetery and the Truchas Penitente Morada. The village of Truchas, New Mexico perches on a spectacular mountain top with glorious views to the west and 13,000 ft. Mountain peaks to the east. Truchas has history as one of the first spanish land grant villages established in 1754. Decendents of the first families still live here and many of the old adobe buildings are still lived in. An art community has been well established for decades.
