Sky's The Limit Observatory & Nature Center campus is open for individuals and families to walk the Nature and Wilderness Trails, explore the Orrery and experience the Meditation Garden. The buildings (restrooms, dome) are NOT open to the public unless a docent is present.

Heads up, this place is usually only open Saturdays! I missed it, but still got to walk around. There’s plenty of parking and good views of the sky because it’s a low light area.

As other reviewers mentioned, this facility is only open on Saturdays and is by appointment only. The park in which it is located is available anytime, complete with tables along a decorative path to place your telescope and view different angles of the gorgeous sky. Worth a visit if you have the chance, just outside the East Gate of Joshua Tree National Park.
