We arrived at Centennial Waterfront Park before they opened the gate, we where the first people to enter the park. Found a spot to park the RV which came with two parking spots and a picnic table. We set up our chairs and start cooking breakfast when AWOL arrived. They parked on the other side of our RV and started staking
Paddle Boards and Kayaks in stacks of 4 or 5 all around our RV and put a few 5 gallon buckets of stuff on our picnic table that we where obviously using! He kept going back and forth from the equipment trailer to our spot on a 4 wheeler pulling trailers full of equipment. We where expecting to have a good quite morning to ourselves have breakfast (at the picnic table in our spot,) lay in the sun, then Paddle Board up river for a evening picnic. But that definitely wasn't going to happen with them making it so uncomfortable. They where super loud while riding the 4 wheeler & stacking their equipment around us that we couldn't hear our music, we couldn't chain our dogs up outside cause they'd get tangled and knock over the stuff they sat out. Customers and their personal friends began showing up and hanging out to say hi sitting at our table as we where eating. It just got so uncomfortable we decided to leave. AWOL knew how uncomfortable they where making us feel it was very obvious and they heard us complaining but they didn't care at all. They weren't about to move and if we stayed it would've been this way all day so we ended up going to buy our own Paddle Boards and Kayaks instead of renting theirs. Then for the next two days anyone we saw that might be renting from AWOL, we gave them a number to a local company that only charges $25 for the entire day! AWOL charges that for a hour or two max. The other company also delivers them to you FREE OF CHARGE! I'm not sure the city would be happy to hear AWOL is literally running people out of the public city park but I'm planning on getting in touch with some people! I would never recommend them!

Great Kayak Rental place. We used 2 of their tandem Kayak for $40 each for 4 hrs. Enough time to to see the Perrine bridge and the Pillar Falls with time for stop over. You can also rent it for 2 hrs at $20.

Great experience renting 2 kayaks with them! Staff was friendly, we didn’t make a reservation but were able to get equipment right away. Highly recommend doing 4 hours
To give yourself time to explore, maybe park along the river and bring a snack to enjoy. We did 2 hours though and felt like we had an amazing workout and experience

We went with an 8 year old, 6 year old and a 2 year old. We rented 2 tandem kayaks and they added a child seat in the middle of one of them for miss 2-year-old. The kids absolutely loved it! They’ve been begging to go back. We chose the 2 hour rental which was enough time to get past the Perrine bridge and watch the base jumpers for a bit and then leisurely head back. Two-year-old got a little hot and tired near the end but the older kids and my husband and I loved it. The water is very smooth. It doesn’t feel like you’re paddling “up-stream”. Occasionally a pontoon looking boat thing drives through (the kayaks stay to the sides) and they create some fun little tiny waves. The employees were awesome and helpful and organized. It was a great time.
