Built in 2004, Tyler’s 5 Star RV Park is located in quiet country just minutes from downtown Tyler. At 2 ½ miles from the main I20 freeway, we’re convenient for stop-overs. Also, at 5 miles from the antiquing centre in downtown Tyler, 6 miles to the hospital district (for travelling nurses), 8 miles to Delek (the local refinery), and 7 miles from a choice of two Wal-Marts, we’re central to about everything except the noise of the high-road. 5 Star RV is a full service park with manager and owners resident on-site. Pros-guy that owned the park allowed us to check in after hours.
Concrete pad
Quiet
Shower house dated but clean
Cons- grass grown up, lots of people live here year round. Some trailers unkept and junk in the yards. Couldn’t find the pond for fishing.
Overall the experience was more suited for someone who’s looking to stay for an extended stay or live here

Great small campground. Well kept up and the owner is friendly. All the RV’s were newer and the yards looked nice. Easy way in and out.

Called for reservations in July. They would not take a reservation for only one night and told me they are "mostly closed now."
