Two hours north of San Francisco in Mendocino County, where over 30% of its wine grape crop is grown organically, Ukiah Brewing Co. & Restaurant has become the first Brewpub and only the second restaurant in the United States to be certified organic. The California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) officially granted the family-owned small business their certification in July 2001. The UBC Restaurant focuses on traditional pub fare and comfort foods with an organic and healthy twist. The Menu changes seasonally and is based on what local farmers, ranchers and fishermen provide. The UBC Kitchen Crew uses the finest seasonal organic ingredients. All of our food is GMO-free and does not contain hydrogenated oils, hormones, antibiotics or pesticides. You won’t find a microwave oven or any processed food on our premises. We make everything from scratch—including our soups, sauces, salad dressings and desserts. Daily Specials are available every day from 5PM until closing. The UBC Brew Crew focuses on creating hearty and robust organic Ales & Lagers. Our beers are unfiltered and handcrafted in small batches, just like it was done before mass production was introduced to the industry.
