“extremely fun to hike”
The Little Wild Horse Canyon/Bell Canyon loop hike is 8 miles round trip and will take about 4 hours to complete. Little Wild Horse Canyon (LWH) is the better of the two canyons, so if you can only do part of the hike do Little Wild Horse. This is a desert environment so carry plenty of drinking water. There is nothing extremely difficult on this hike; there is some navigation required since there is no developed or signed trail. All obstacles can be easily bypassed if you spend a moment and look for a way around them.
We went here as part of a road trip to Utahs National Parks (Arches, CanyonLands, etc.) of all the hikes we did this one was our favorite. There is nothing quite like hiking through the slot canyons, this one is beautiful! There is a reason that this hike is the most popular in the San Rafael Swell area. Well worth the extra drive to visit and your explorer this area.
Way off the beaten path, the Little Wild Horse Canyon is great for a day hike if you've already seen Goblin Valley State Park next door. Bring lots of water, and be prepared to do some tricky navigation on your own, since there aren't many sign posts along the way.
