"Interview with the Vampire" - Yes, the Oak Alley Plantation, Restaurant and Inn is the filming location for Anne Rice's "Interview with the Vampire". This was Louis' plantation. Let the heart palpitations commence...

Also filmed here: Beyonce's Deja Vu music video, "The Long, Hot Summer" and "Primary Colors".

Located on the Mississippi River between the historic Louisiana cities of New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Oak Alley Plantation has been called the "Grande Dame of the Great River Road".

Nowhere else in the south will you find such a spectacular setting!

The quarter-mile canopy of giant live oak trees, believed to be nearly 300 years old, forms an impressive avenue leading to the classic Greek-revival style antebellum home.

Did I mention, it's also allegedly haunted: "
Generally speaking, Oak Alley is recognized more for the beauty of her setting than for mysterious disturbances, but tour guides, visitors and staff members alike have shared interesting experiences over the years."

It is an amazing, magical place. My husband and I were married here. There are small houses that you can rent and stay on the plantation. The food is really good. It's a relaxing place.

Admission includes a tour of the big house as well as the ability to give yourself a self guided tour and wander the grounds. Very beautiful place and informative tour includes a list of all films, television shows and music videos filmed at this location. Well worth the visit.
