Oak Alley Plantation Restaurant & Inn

Had a great time at Oak Alley. The tour guides for the main house were very knowledgeable and friendly, the staff working in the shops were very kind and worked well with the tourists, and the entire estate transported me to a different world. The slave cabin exhibits in particular were very well put together. The gardens were beautiful, and of course the Oak Alley itself was stunning. I learned a lot and had a great time. I cannot wait to come back and visit again soon!

You can't help but feel like you've stepped into an Anne Rice movie. Oak Alley is everything you'd imagine an old Louisiana plantation to be. They do have tours that take groups to different parts around the property, so if you're a fan of history don't leave without taking at least one.

Great place to take pictures! Bring your best camera, and if you arrive before 11am, you can usually get great photos without a lot of visitors in them!

nice!! We would recommend it! not very expensive and well organised. Big house tour with guide and then you can see how the slaved lived in the plantation and then a super cool tent of the confederate army. History, social life and nature just 45min from New Orleans!

Yeah! Love Oak Alley!

I'm not a huge dessert guy normally, but everyone in our family wanted something different, so we family styled it, WOW. The best Pecan pie I've had anywhere, same for the bread pudding. Everything was tremendous.

Make sure you allow a couple two or three hours. We were rushed because we'd planned something else afterward -- we had a little over an hour, which was enough time to take the tour of the house and not much else. We missed the slave quarters self-guided tour and didn't have time to just wander the grounds. Don't make the same mistake.

The tour kept my kids, aged 11, 9, and 7, interested almost the whole time. Very cool place.
