“a quirky tourist attraction”
Trading Post, Petting Zoo and Restaurant. A fun and quirky tourist attraction that is worth the stop.
Fort Zion and the Virgin Trading Post is a worthwhile stop on your way in or out of Zion National Park. The place is huge and well-stocked on food options and tourist trinkets, and for a dollar you can check out their "frontier" buildings (and snap a picture or two in the Virgin Jail or Miss Holly's House of Negotiable Affection) and the petting zoo, which includes mini horses! Their soft serve ice cream is delicious, as is their barbecue, which is made using the prickly pear that grows outside the fort.
Very unique stop. Ice cream was great. Lots to look at in shop. Fun place for photos. The petting zoo was not really a zoo as much as some animals you could feed carrots too, but the kids had fun doing it. Woman at the counter was great and super friendly.
Cute little road side attraction. Little giftshop & small mock town. Can feed carrots to the goats/rams, donkeys, alpacas & mini horses. Kids would definitely enjoy it too.
Cute little stop on the way to zion
