“love of wine in Walla Walla”
A love of wine and a hunger to work for ourselves drove us to move from Colorado to Washington State in 1998 and start our eponymous winery in 1999. We started making wine in 1999 with no preconceived notions of how wine should be made or what vineyards are the best in Washington. Our palette and experience with man vineyards & winemaking techniques have defined the style of our wines. Isenhower Cellars’ goals are to make the best wines we can and the wines have a sense of the vineyard they are from. Secondarily we like to push the envelope with experiments in different grapes, vineyards, and winemaking techniques. There is not a flagship wine here. Isenhower Cellars is primarily known for outstanding and highly unique Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, red wine blends, and Rhône style white wine. Secondarily we are known for experimenting with Grenache, Malbec, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, and Tempranillo. Our premium & reserve red wines and white wines are for sale only from the winery and Woodinville tasting room. Isenhower Cellars is a small winery with unique synergy: the amount of wine we have the energy to make happens to be the amount of wine we can sell directly to consumers.
