It is in the middle of the Main Street intersection smack dab in the middle of town, so to actually look at it, you look like an idiot tourist and you have to watch for cars. Wasn't the most friendly place, but there are a few restaurants in town that looked appetizing.
Fun stop! Rest stop right when you come into Wallace. Look for this in the middle of the intersection.
Wallace, Idaho is a great town. Full of flying beavers, bordello museums, mining tours, tacky UFO art and of course a pothole plaque declaring it the "Center of the Universe." The only issue is it is smack right in a four way intersection where you have to dodge traffic to grab a photo of it. It should be called, the "idiot death trap." There is a long history here involving a mayor and the EPA but that is what google is for :). In the meantime, it is best to have a lookout, otherwise if your head is down trying to focus on a pothole cover you may be hit by a car or more likely a truck, since it is Idaho.
